In 1967, Mohamood made his first Bollywood debut with the Hindi film ‘Naunihal’ he played the role of ‘Billo’.
In 1971, Mohamood played the role of Chote/Jhamure in the famous Hindi film ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’.
He did acting in many blockbuster films including ‘Brahmacharya’ in 1968, ‘Mera Naam Joker’ in 1970, ‘Parvarish’ in 1977.
During his career, he directed many movies including ‘Maskari’ in 1991 ‘Pagalpan’ in 1991 ‘And Karmyog’ in 1999.
In 2012, he made his television acting debut with the romantic drama television series ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara’ he played the role of Shankar ‘Shanky’ which was telecasted on Star Plus.
In 2016, he did his second TV show name ‘EK Rishta Saajhedari Ka’ in which he played the role of Mansoor.

Death
Junior Mehmood passed away on 8 December 2023, at his house in Mumbai. He was suffering from Stomach cancer and a tumour in the intestines and he was at the fourth-stage of stomach cancer. Few days ago from his death doctors suggested that we take care of him at home.
